Sunset on a winter afternoon in Stockholm, Sweden. During summer it's hardly ever this dark, even around midnight.

I took this photo in 1992, a few mothts after the volcanic erupton at Pinatuvo (Pinatubo) in the Philippines. The volcanic particles spread in the atmosphere globally, giving us unusually red evening skies. This was a reminder of the Krakatoa in 1883, but that's a different story.
