NetTamer homesite

NT (NetTamer) can do e-mail (POP), usenet news, HTTP (not great but useable), FTP, Telnet and then some. Builtin PPP stack and dialler. I do all of my e-mail with NT since -97. There are two versions, one to run on very modest hardware (8088 CPU, 512K RAM and floppy) and one for 386 or better and harddisk.

ReRead

Another reader than the one bundled with NT.

NtlServ

All received e-mail received with NT goes into one file, mail.dlu. Ntlserv can sort it into different files. Useful if you are a member of several mailinglists. Shareware.

 

Of my own make:


Convmail

A package of my own make. Used for charset conversion of e-mail. It also converts to/from "quoted-printable" to facilitate transfer of e-mail. Adapted to NetTamer.

At the moment the package can be used to convert between cp 437 (us-ascii), cp 850 (Windows 3.x) and ISO-8859-1.

Edconv

Smaller brother of the above package. Some .bat files and scripts with edlin as engine. Can run on very modest hardware. A PC with 8088 CPU, 256K RAM and a floppy is sufficient.
