The cold brackish water of the Baltic Sea preserves wood for centuries. Many sunken ships still wait to be discovered. The lists are in chronological order. You can find more wrecks in the wreck databases and lists, in the worldwide wrecklist, under projects or through various academic departments or societies. Most of these wrecks are available for recreational diving, as an underwater museum.
