D-Rex
Domino Regular Expression Parser
D-Rex is a small utility for sending commands to (and receiving output from) a Domino server. D-Rex gives you the means to control your server programmatically. The utility can for instance be used in batch files or as a light-weight administrator client. D-Rex can also give you reports based on regular expressions.
If you run several Domino servers, it is sometimes slow to switch between servers in the Notes Administrator client. You can use this utility for fast access to simple server administration tasks. D-Rex will run even as you are waiting for your client to finish long-winded tasks (that might block access to your client). You can also use D-Rex in your Domino applications to modify a server's configuration where there is no supporting Notes API.
D-Rex lets you
- Send command batches to a server. E.g. "show tasks; quit".
- Send the same command(s) simultaneously to several servers.
- Search server command output based on regular expressions.
- Create shortcuts to server commands on your desktop.
