Information about Björk pages

Björk Guðmundsdóttir Main Page

Present and future development of pages

These Björk-pages are to be seen as an addition to other

WWW-pages related to Björk. I've put in stuff that

I think would be interesting to Björk-fans like me.

In this version there are three different topics for you to look into :

* Interviews

* Discography

* Picture links

Questions/corrections/suggestions are very much appreciated

by me, so if you got one or two, please e-mail me.

Development software and hardware

All pages are made in Microsoft Windows 95 enviroment and

using Netscape 1.22 as browser. A HP ScanJet IIcx was used

for the scans. Any additional pictures and video-grabbings are

done with a Creative VideoBlaster SE and a videocamera.

Pictures converted/drawn/edited using Aldus PhotoStyler 2.0.

Credit to the picture on this page

The picture of Björk in this page is a scan of the booklet

from the limited edition CD single of "Big Time Sensuality" (One

Little Indian 132tp7cdl). Photographs by Juergen Teller. Some

copies of this record have the pictures in a different order.

Björk Pages : Discography

None of the text lists or pictures of records are Sugarcubes related.

See my Sugarcubes pages for info.

The album-pages are arranged like this:

...with Björk before "Debut" - This page contain records that has

solo- or band stuff with Björk before she did "Debut".

...with Björk starting from "Debut" - The same as above, but then

starting from the release of "Debut".

...with "...featuring Björk" - pages including records were Björk

appears as a guest singer.

Little record collectors guide

I use "Big Time Sensuality" as an example here to show the differences

that the releases have. The European release of it has the original edit

and three mixes on it. There's also a 2-track version with a sleeve cover. In the

UK you get the limited edition. It has some really nice pictures in the booklet

and record which includes 7 mixes of the track. In the US there's still

other releases in digipack cover, and a double 12"-vinyl. In the US and UK

you also have cassingles. And there's also the promos.

So if you want to/are collecting you probably have guessed that it is very

hard work to get hold of all the releases as there are different released in

every part of the world, and different tracks too!!!

It's specially fustrating when you want a record that has some unreleased stuff

on it, and it's only published in a country very far away from you.

If you wanna have all the records/vinyls/cassettes/promos linked to

to "Debut" album you probably have to spend about 1500 USD (if you don't

have the right connections). So, it's either not start collecting, or selling

your computer. ;-)

About the pictures

All subpages to this one includes pictures of some of the records

in the text-list. As many of the record covers look almost the

same, I've only put the different/rare ones on the pages. They

are all thumbnails with about a hight of 120 pixels, and are in

16, 32 or 64 colors, but most are in 16. All of them are (or

should be ;-) ) interlaced. If you would like to see the bigger

picture, just click on the picture you want to see. The bigger

pictures are 24 bit color JPEGs and have a size around 30-60 kb,

although there are some that are bigger. All cover pictures are

stored locally. The bigger pictures can be removed from the

local disk without notice (there's still no hard limit on my account).

Björk Pages : Interviews

The interviews

There's only one TV-interview which I've transcribed. The

rest are interviews which I have found on the net, typed in from

magazines. On some of the interview-pages there are picture

links to scans that are present on different ftp-sites.

Copyrights

Note that all of the interviews are present here without permission. If

someone should find it inappropriate of me to have these

interviews as Web-pages, viewable to everyone with a WWW-

browser and InterNet access, please e-mail me about it. I just wanted

to share these interviews with other fans.

Björk Pages : Picture links

The links

Subpages to this one have links to pictures located on ftp-sites

ftp.uwp.edu and ice.paragon.co.uk. There's only thumbnails of these

pictures locally. They are all (of course) small with a maximum

height/width of 100 pixels, and are only in 16 colors. If you would

like to get the real pictures, just click on the ftp-site you want to

download the picture from. The ice.paragon.co.uk site is situated on

a PC computer that might be hard to access as someone is working on

during the day. :-)

Picture(s) with a yellow ball in front of it are at ftp-sites, but red

balls indicate that the picture(s) are stored locally.
