The
city of Shibam with its 500 tower houses. They are made of mud and
are up to 7 storeys high. Most of the houses date from the 16th century.
Now the whole city is on UNESCO's list of world heritage. 
Opposite Shibam in the huge and hot Wadi Hadhramawt. In front is the riverbed. Not much water at the moment, but sometimes there's actually water floating here, that's what a "wadi" is.
